Crax - the robot

My elder son has a great passion of making his own robot.

He shows lots of interest in robotics ever since he attended a one month summer camp for learning about basics in robotics during his second grade summer holidays.

He is grade 4 now still his interest of making his own robot is increased more.

He got an assignment to write up about your wish when you grow up old.

He immediately wrote that he wish to make his own robot when he grow up and when I asked him to give it a name.

He got this name for his robot CRAX

Very cute name I was wondering what his robot could do. His first point was to get rid off cockroaches as my son is scared seeing them at home. So he want his robot to get rid all of them boldly.

Secondly he wanted his crax to help me in kitchen so that I can be free all day.

By seeing that I got reminded of our earlier discussion,

Every time during lunch time we have a discussion , that my little son needs ghee for each servings of rice that too he wants it immediately he don't like to wait till I serve food for my dh and elder. So I used to tell him need to make small machine so that it will pour you ghee for each servings. That time my elder will say don't worry ma I will make a robot so that you can be free.

I wondered how our talks create impact on kids thinking.

Am not telling just for praise but encouraging my son in whatever he do.

One day he will make his dream come true.

Puppet show - Motu becomes cow

Today is March 8th 2018

Very happy women's day and most precious moment in my life.

My second son has received first prize for presenting his puppet show in his school held on this January.

I would like to share the making of our puppet show concepts.

Even if my son has not received any prize I would have definitely, shared this concept in my blog. But everyone will feel excited when  listening to victory story.

First when concept was announced we had no idea of what to make. As Mithran is more interested in his craft works thought of bringing out his creativity.

So I asked my Dh to suggest any ideas for that. He initiated our first thought by saying whatever concept say about protecting cows ,using banana leaves.

I thought about Krishna n cow concept first n scripted but could not make simple ones.

The very next day we happened to visit Dakshina chitra with kids, to our surprise there was a puppet show organised there, though it happens there regularly we Are not aware of it. The way that puppeteer presented Krishna story was very creative. All kids really enjoyed simple jokes n voice modulation we ourself became excited to watch show. 

From there I got the main ideology that, though a puppet show must have a concept or message first thing is it should be enjoyed by all.

Later in the coming  days both of my sons were pretend playing as motu n patlu, so suddenly I thought why not make puppet show using motu n patlu, so I told my son to draw motu if he looks like a cow. In no minutes he drew n showed me. 

Immediately patlu, Dr jatka, drawing he prepared small drawings we pasted on cardboard n ice cream sticks.

Some how should bring my dh ideas too.

So we got idea as motu is changing as cow. Patlu tries to help him by getting idea from doctor jatka, he advises patlu to give him water n banana leaf to get back motu.

This idea I got first.

When I asked my son to draw cow drinking water n eating banana leaves he drew cow drinking water and skating banana leaves. 

By seeing that picture got idea as cow is skating leaves Instead of eating, as motu likes Samosa, I asked him to draw samosas in banana leaf, then motu eats samosas in banana leaf then finally motu is back.

Msg is please throw plastic separately protect cows.
